Christmas In The Heart

This year during the Holidays I decided to pick up Dylan's Christmas album titled 'Christmas in the Heart'. It was released last year and all proceeds for the album go to a charity called 'Feeding America'.

I'll admit, when news came out last year that Dylan was putting out a Christmas album, my first thoughts were "this is gonna be terrible." I didn't pick it up and ignored the release completely. When I was looking for some music to play around the house wit my son for Christmas, I figured who better to turn to then the man himself.

The album is surprising really good. His voice actually sounds better on this album than on 'Together Through Life' which was released earlier in the year. It's clear that he took this release pretty seriously. My favorite track is 'Must Be Santa', which also is accompanied by an insane video. 'Little Drummer Boy' and 'The Christmas Blues' also stand out.

So if you're sick of the stale radio Christmas songs that make you want to swerve into the next telephone pole while driving, give this one a shot. Worst case scenario you made a donation to a good cause. Merry Christmas!
